Since the 12th May 2025 the Vivian Hall is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation or C.I.O. with a new Charity Number 1211947.

In practice, there is very little change - the managing committee of trustees and members continues to operate the Hall on behalf of the local residents and users and remains accountable to the Charity Commission for its actions. What it does mean is that the trustees would not be held individually liable in the event of any action against the Hall, rather the Hall as a 'company' would face any such action.

A new Constitution for the Hall has been prepared and agreed with the Charity Commission. This replaces the obsolete 1999 Constitution. A copy is available on request to the Chairman - see Contacts.
