The Management Committee is having installed an array of solar panels on a section of the roof of the Vivian Hall. An application for National Lottery funding was successful and the Hall has been awarded more than £9,500 to get the work done by a local installer before the end of the summer.
When combined with a battery storage system and with a feed into the National Grid, it is anticipated that this will save the Hall a considerable amount of money, as well as reducing the Hall's carbon footprint.
The Committee is deeply grateful to the National Lottery for its support. This grant is the third one that the National Lottery has awarded to the Vivian Hall in the past five years, to assist in keeping it as a progressive asset for the local community.
